Byron Bay is one of Australia's most loved coastal towns, and it's an easy day out from the Gold Coast. This return shuttle takes the hassle out of driving and parking: board in Surfers Paradise or at Gold Coast Airport in the morning, relax on the way down the coast, and step off at the Byron Bay Bus Interchange right in town.
You'll have around five hours to do Byron your way. Walk up to the Cape Byron Lighthouse and the most easterly point of mainland Australia, swim at Main Beach or Wategos, browse the shops and markets, or settle in at one of the town's cafes and restaurants. Surfers and cyclists can bring their gear along at no extra charge.
At 4:00pm the Byron Bay Express shuttle collects you from the same interchange and returns you to the Gold Coast. Byron Bay Express is a family-owned company that has been running daily scheduled shuttles between Byron Bay, the Gold Coast and Brisbane since 1999, so you're travelling with drivers who know the road and the town.
Please note this is a self-guided day trip: the shuttle provides transport only, and your time in Byron Bay is free for you to plan as you like.
Online bookings close 48 hours before departure. For last-minute travel, please call the Byron Bay Express office directly.
