Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew)
The Emerald Buddha is a highly revered Buddha statue located in the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, also known as Wat Phra Kaew, which is part of the Grand Palace complex in Bangkok, Thailand. The statue is made of green jade and is considered to be the most sacred object in Thailand. It is believed to have originated in India over 2,000 years ago and has been housed in various temples throughout Southeast Asia. Wat Phra Chetuphon
Wat Pho, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is a famous Buddhist temple located in Bangkok, Thailand. The temple is home to a massive statue of a reclining Buddha, which is 46 meters long and 15 meters high. The statue is covered in gold leaf and features intricate mother-of-pearl inlay on the feet. In addition to the famous reclining Buddha, Wat Pho is also known for its beautiful architecture, ornate decorations, and traditional Thai massage school. The temple is a popular tourist attraction in Bangkok and is often visited in combination with the nearby Grand Palace and Wat Arun.
Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun)
- Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan or wat arun, "Temple of Dawn") is a Buddhist temple in Bangkok. The temple derives its name from the Hindu god Aruna, often personified as the radiations of the rising sun. The first light of the morning reflects off the surface of the temple with pearly iridescence. Although the temple had existed since at least the seventeenth century, its distinctive prang (spires) were built in the early nineteenth century during the reign of King Rama II.
