Meatpacking District
The Meatpacking District is home from all kinds of art, from toy tags to globally noticed installations. It's a great place to get a lay of the land, and cast your attention back in time to earlier days.
Whitney Museum of American Art
You can come back and visit the galleries on your own, but the Whitney plays an important role in New York's art history, and in the shadow of it's looming building, we can get a good sense of the difference between having your art hanging inside versus scrawled on the wall of the Gansevoort Meat Center around the corner.
The High Line
We'll walk a section of The High Line, where you can get some compelling views on street art, public art, and architecture.
Chelsea
We'll weave through blocks of Chelsea where the art is both quiet and loud, exploring styles, techniques, and history.
