The North Run: A 7-day journey from Ha Giang to Hoang Su Phi, Sapa, and Fansipan.

Sapa, a popular tourist destination in the northwest region of Vietnam, offers breathtaking views on clear days. The town overlooks a plunging valley surrounded by towering mountains. Although mist often rolls across the peaks, the town is always filled with color from the local hill-tribe people.

Sapa remains a top destination for trekking enthusiasts who can launch themselves into a surrounding countryside of cascading rice terraces and tiny hill-tribe villages that seem a world apart.

Fansipan, the highest mountain in Indochina at 3,143m (10,312ft), is also included in this excursion, making it a real challenge even though it can be climbed with specialist equipment, guides or porters.

Pickup detailsWe will pick you up from ANY accommodation in Ha Giang City. There might be some homestays far from the city if you want us to pick you up, you might need to pay some extra for a taxi. This tour starts in Ha Giang and ends in Sapa. Let us know if you need us to arrange transfers from and to Hanoi, Ninh Binh or Ha Long. Airport pick-up/drop-off is available with additional fees.

Explore the magical Ha Giang province by motorbike. See the picturesque rice terraces ribboning across the mountainside. Drive the winding highway carved into the sides of mountains. Interact with locals who have been isolated from Westerners until a few years ago. Ha Giang is an adventure you won't soon forget.
Our guide will meet you around 9am. For the rest of the morning, we will help you work on your motorbike driving skills. Around 1pm, we will catch up with others to start the trip. During lunch we give you a motorbike briefing before you set off to Nam Dam village. You will be accompanied by a local who will show you the way.

Quan Ba Heaven Gate

The 45km drive is stunning, passing through traditional villages, beautiful valleys, and climbing mountains. Along the journey, we will make plenty of stops to take pictures and give your bum a rest. :) Among the stops we make is the Fairy Bosom hills in Quan Ba and a geopark recognized by UNESCO.
We will spend the night in Nam Dam village with a host family. You will have the afternoon and evening explore the village, go for a hike, help our host family prepare dinner, or just relax. Dinner includes local rice or corn wine, also called "happy water."
