The Thingvellir National park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest national park in Europe. There I will give you a detailed introduction to the geology as well as a little insight into the cultural significance of this place. Walk on the edge of the continental plates and learn about the amazing geology of this place. We will take a walk in the National Park and see also Öxarárfoss, a small waterfall that you maybe know from 'Game of Thrones'

  • Feel the heat and smell the sulfur of geothermal hot springs and get splashed by Iceland's famous Geysir Strokkur.
  • A short lunch break is planned in the Geysir Restaurant, where we can strengthen ourselves for the rest of the day. (Price for lunch is not included).
