Our custom-built 4x4 vehicle is designed for doing tours in Kintamani, regardless of the weather. We have the weather protection to keep you and your crew safe.
We take you to all of these places: frozen lava, Kintamani bats, and more. No one else does all of these in one tour.
Our company is Australian-owned, with local guides who live in the area and have done so their entire lives. The CEO of Expedition Bali Tours is an ex Safety Manager for an Australian mining company. We have a medical kit on board, and the vehicle is serviced at half the recommended intervals. Small fire extinguishers are inside the seating area, and grip tape is on the steps. We take safety very seriously.

Penglipuran Village
Stop: 2 hours
Promising you a full day of Balinese culture, memento shopping, coffee tasting at a genuine coffee plantation, plus a tour of the frozen black lava fields, without you organising a single thing.
You get picked up from your accommodation, and we head for the mountains. Soon the weather becomes cooler, and the coffee plantations start to appear. You’ll stop in a coffee plantation where you’ll get your morning hit of coffee before embarking on your journey to Penglipuran Traditional Village. After looking around here for an hour or so, purchasing tourist trinkets, and sampling local food, we’ll head up to the Bamboo Forest which is walking distance from Penglipuran.

Penglipuran Bamboo Forest
Stop: 30 minutes
You’ll be able to walk a paved walk way where you’ll be able to see the entire forest I around half an hour. When you’re finished here, your air conditioned chariot will take you to the Frozen Lava Volcano Explorer 4x4 tour.

Kintamani
Stop: 3 hours
FROZEN LAVA, & BATS
Not only will you discover an incredible lava field that can only be described as “lunar”, we’re also the only tour operators that’ll take you to see the Kintamani Bats. Unlike other bats that hide in the darkness, these bats are huddled together in the open on a cliff side and under a ledge which makes for great viewing and educating the kids.
