The Baths of Caracalla are some of the best-preserved and largest baths in Rome, a masterpiece of Roman architecture that could accommodate up to 1500 people. The spas, which were free and open to the public, including a series of baths, a library, a gym and gardens. All the imposing rooms were vaulted or arcaded, decorated with sumptuous stuccos, frescoes, polychrome mosaics, statues and columns of very precious marble.
