The Manu National Park is a natural sanctuary for a wide variety of animal and plant species, including some of the largest and rarest mammals in the world, such as the puma, the jaguar, and the Andean bear.

The Manu National Park is a protected natural area, divided into three zones: the core zone, the reserved zone, and the cultural zone. During our four-day visit, we explored the cultural zone. The Manu region is renowned for its incredible biodiversity, with 223 species of mammals and 1005 species of birds registered. Moreover, the Manu National Park holds the world record for the diversity of amphibian (155) and reptile (132) species within a protected area.

Stop: 9 hours
This day begins in Cusco, where we will take the minivan that will accompany us during the trip. The first stop will be in Paucartambo, a very friendly town where we will have our breakfast. We will also stop to see the chullpas of Ninamarca, pre-Inca constructions. After passing Acjanaco, the highest point, we will descend through the cloud forest. on the way we will stop for lunch and also to see El Gallito de las Rocas, the national bird of Perú. Finally we will arrive in Pillcopata to have dinner and spend the night in our hostel
