  • It is recommended that you wear comfortable walking shoes and bring sunglasses and water
  • Minimum age to drink alcohol is 18 years
  • A maximum of 10 people per guide inside Machu Picchu according with park authority rules.
  • Big suitcases are not allowed in Hiram Bingham train. Bring a small bag or backpack for your next day clothes, if you stay in the area of Machu Picchu.
  • Big suitcases must leave in the storage of your Cusco hotel. If you need help to move your baggages, contact us for extra service.
  • Machu Picchu has implemented new visitor circuits, with three main routes with specific differences to distribute passengers in various areas. These changes are intended to improve the visitor experience and preserve the integrity of the archaeological site. The circuit with route 2 will be given as priority and if it is not available, the options of taking circuit 3B or circuit 1B will be informed so that you can confirm your decision before the tickets are issued.

  • After hotel pickup in Cusco, take a 20-minute drive to Poroy station, where a welcome drink is offered to you before you step on the train.
  • Once you're on board, thread your way through a sparkling interior of brass and polished wood to find your elegantly upholstered seat. During the 3-hour ascent to the Aguas Calientes, the nearest station to Machu Picchu, explore the train’s observation platform, bar car and two dining wagons, where you’ll enjoy a 3-course lunch (see a sample menu in Itinerary below).

  • Wayllabamba trout with fava beans, Andean mint and airampo emulsion
