- The temple is called that way due to the origin of the word Pura which is a Balinese Hindu temple.
- Being the largest and holiest temple of Bali, it consists of 86 temples and there is no doubt you will have a great time exploring it.

Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple

- Built on natural spring, Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple is considered to be one of the most peaceful, tranquil, and prettiest sanctuaries.
- The temple boasts several ponds and pools. A large lake will immediately catch your eye when walking down the stairs from the entrance. In the centre of the lake is a fountain, featuring a statue of the Goddess of knowledge, art and music, Sarasvati. Behind the lake is a walled-off area with two pools meant for bathing.
- Continuing your exploration north, you will enter the elevated, main temple grounds. This is where you find many shrines, one of which is Candi Bentar; beautifully surrounded by water and making for a great opportunity to shoot a picture-perfect postcard photo.
