The Baths of Caracalla are some of the best-preserved and largest baths in Rome, a masterpiece of Roman architecture that could accommodate up to 1500 people. All the imposing rooms were vaulted or arcaded, decorated with sumptuous stuccos, frescoes, polychrome mosaics, statues and columns of very precious marble.
