This 2-day hiking adventure is suitable for active travelers with intermediate fitness levels. You'll embark on a journey along the Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Along the way, you'll pass by ancient Incan sites and reach Machu Picchu through the sun gate. You'll have the opportunity to explore the sacred city. The tour departs from Cusco, where you'll be picked up from your hotel. After exploring Machu Picchu, you'll be conveniently dropped off at your hotel in Cusco.

- 1 pair lightweight cotton pants (loose jeans/khakis)
- 1 lightweight fleece pants
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems
- Foot & hand wear
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- 2 pairs wool or synthetic socks
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- 1 pair of (used) trekking boots
- 1 pair of wool or fleece gloves
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- 1 wool or fleece hat
- 1 sunhat
- 1 pair sun glasses that provide good UV protection
- Miscellaneous
- 1 sleeping bag (rated to -11 C / 12 F)
- 1 good (day) backpack
- 2 walking poles
- 1 headlamp (preferable) or torch
- 1 water bottle
- Water sterilizing tablets (Micropur)
- Sun block
- Insect repellent
- Towel and soap
- Toilet paper
- Camera and extra memory cards
- Spare battery for your camera
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
