Hiking a portion of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is one of the top adventures in Peru. On this 4-day Classic Inca Trail hike, you'll explore the Andes on foot, tackle sections of the vast network of footpaths created by the Inca in the 1500s, visit archaeological sites along the way, and experience the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most famous tourist attraction in the country. Relax and take it all in, backed by a crew of porters and a camp cook with vegetarian food available.

  • Upon booking, please send the following information for each traveler to the email address on your voucher:

  • Nationality
  • Passport Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Advise if you want vegetarian meals or have any special dietary requirements please let us know as soon as possible. It’s easy to arrange and there’s no extra cost.
  • If you have an allergy to certain types of food please ensure that this is written on your trek voucher as well as reminding both the guide and the cook on the trail. We do not accept bookings from clients with life-threatening allergies.
  • Important: Upon booking, please contact the email address on your voucher to advise of any specific requirements and flight information
  • Note: Since 2000, the Inca trail has been regulated by the country of Peru. This has provided many wonderful things, like clean trails and camping sites, but it has also limited the amount of people on the trail each day. Now only 500 people are permitted on the trail every morning – this includes hikers, guides, porters and cooks.It is strongly recommended to book your Inca Trail at least 5 months in advance as permits can quickly sell out
  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • Original Passport, ISIC card (if you are a student and want to qualify for the discount)
  • Clothes: Walking boots, Waterproof jacket / rain poncho, Warm jacket, Hat and gloves, T-shirts, comfortable trousers
  • Not recommended for pregnant travelers
  • Other items: Sunscreen (factor 35 or higher), insect repellent, toiletries and hand sanitizer, personal medication, camera and film, torch with spare batteries
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers

Inca Trail
  • We will pick you up from your hotel and depart on a private bus toward the Sacred Valley, passing through Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo. After a 2.5-hour scenic drive, we’ll reach Km 82, the official starting point of the Inca Trail.
  • The adventure begins with an ascent to Wilka Rakay, offering breathtaking views of the Inca site of Patallacta and the Kusichaca Valley. As we continue along the trail, you'll be immersed in stunning Andean landscapes, with ancient Inca ruins and diverse flora surrounding us.
  • By late afternoon, we will arrive at Wayllabamba (3,000 masl / 9,842 ft.), where we’ll set up camp for the night. Here, you can relax and enjoy the serenity of the mountains as our team prepares a nourishing dinner. Rest well—tomorrow, we tackle one of the most challenging yet rewarding sections of the trail.
