It is recommended that you get up around 3:30 am so that you can take a transportation from Cusco to the Ollantaytambo station, which takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. From there, you can take the first train at 5:40 am. Train journey to Aguas Calientes: The train will take you along the Sacred Valley to the Aguas Calientes station, which is the starting point for visiting Machu Picchu. The train journey takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes and is very pleasant, as you can enjoy impressive views of the Andean landscape and some Inca ruins.
