Stony Point Nature Reserve

- As you arrive, you’ll walk along a well-maintained wooden boardwalk that winds through the colony, allowing you to observe the penguins going about their daily lives—nesting, waddling, preening, and swimming. The site is part of a protected marine area, and it’s home not only to penguins but also to cormorants, dassies (rock hyrax), and gulls.
- The area was once a historic whaling station, and today, it's a beautiful example of conservation success. Informative signs along the route tell the story of the penguins and the region’s maritime past.
