As you explore its formidable walls, your audio guide will transport you back to the era of the Norman Conquest, offering insights into how the Tower served as a royal residence, fortress, and symbol of power.
• Inside the White Tower, you will find a fascinating collection of arms and armor, including the Line of Kings, a stunning display of royal armor, once designed to glorify the monarchy.

Church of St Peter ad Vincula

A solemn and historic stop on your tour, the Chapel of St Peter ad Vincula is the final resting place of some of the Tower’s most notable prisoners. As you step inside this 16th-century chapel, your audio guide will recount the stories of the tragic figures buried here, including Queen Anne Boleyn, executed for treason, and Sir Thomas More, executed for refusing to recognize Henry VIII’s authority. Reflect on the dramatic and poignant history of the Tower's political prisoners as you explore the chapel.
