The 4-day Inca Classic Trail is known as one of the top 10 hikes in the world. The Inca Classic Trail is unparalleled in its ecological diversity and richness of archaeological treasures. The Machu Picchu Sanctuary Historic Site covers 32,952 acres and is home to a network of Inca trails, dozens of archaeological sites, 10 ecological zones (from glacial peaks to tropical forests), over 450 species of birds, and more than 200 species of orchids, as well as the legendary city of Machu Picchu.
