Experience the iconic 2-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

Embark on a 2-day adventure from Cusco and hike the final portion of the Inca Trail. On day one, begin your trek at kilometer 104 and make your way to the village of Aguas Calientes, taking in the breathtaking views along the way. Early the next morning, hike to Machu Picchu with your group and follow your guide on a tour of the ancient citadel before heading back to Cusco by train and bus.

  • Insect repellent for mosquitoes (Malaria or Yellow fever not been reported)
  • Rain pants
  • Bathing suit (for hot springs in Aguas Calientes)
  • Sun protection cream ( factor 35 recommended ) sun is strong
  • Insect Repellent ( for mosquitos )15 % of deet at least
  • Water bottle
  • Comfortable hiking boots, runners or sturdy shoes
  • Money in soles or dollars. ATM´s or cash machines and travelers cheques in Aguas Calientes are more expensive to change
  • Short pants , Plaster and bandages
  • Walking poles (with rubber tips) they can also be hired from us (they can be used on the Inca Trail if they have rubber tips)
  • NOTE: walking poles are not allowed into machu picchu city
  • This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

Inca Trail
  • We will be picked up from our respective hostels around 04:00 a.m. and driven to Ollantaytambo (train station), after 1h/30 minutes train ride we will get off the train (kilometer 104) which is the trail head then we will register and start hiking to the first Inca site of Chachabamba. After that we will start climbing up the mountain until we reach the beautiful waterfall, then we will reach the lower part of the incredible ruins of Wiñaywayna.
  • After lunch at Wiñaywayna we continue through a beautiful cloud forest full of bromeliads, orchids and ferns. once we get to the sun gate of machupicchu which is the first view of machu picchu citadel, after we enjoy we will descend to the check point then take a bus down to the city of aguas calientes where we will have dinner and sleep.
