Day 3

Mekong full day: Vinh Trang pagoda, boat trip, Mekong local life explore.

Start on traveling south from Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho, the gateway to the Mekong Delta.

Stop at the largest pagoda in the Mekong delta, Vinh Trang Pagoda.

Arriving the boat station, get in the motorized boat along 4 islands named Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. 

Passing tiny waterways, walk into the village.

Visit a local fruit garden and enjoy the tropical fruit while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music.

Visit the bee house, and take the picture of the pythons.

Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden.

Called “Bay of Descending Dragons”, the archipelago of Halong Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site composed of almost 2,000 islands and jungle-clad limestone pillars.

Set sail and cruise past several of the bay’s iconic islands and interestingly-shaped karst formations including Cock Fighting Islets, Incense Island which is featured on the 200,000 dong note, Ba Hang floating village and Dog Island. Enjoy a delicious lunch amidst one of the world’s most spectacular landscape before exploring Sung Sot “Surprise Cave” on a guided walk. Discover the stunning natural artwork inside the cavern before entering Luon Cave by kayak or rowing bamboo board. Spend the rest of the afternoon on the junk boat's sun deck, sipping a cocktail and watching a cooking demonstration before returning the port.
