A túráról

Join us on a 2-day, 1-night tour from Istanbul to Gobekli Tepe and Mountain Nemrut.

Mit fogsz tenni

The Commagene Kingdom's secrets are hidden in Mount Nemrut, famous for its giant statues and God statues. These statues and mousalea were built by Commagene King Antiochus I to show his appreciation for the Gods and his own ancestors. Interestingly, there are two sets of the same group of statues, one welcoming the rise of the sun and the other welcoming the sunset. It's truly a beautiful sight!

Şanlıurfa is known as the city of prophets, and Göbeklitepe, the first temple built by human hands, is located here. With its mixed demographics and colorful traditions, the city is the pearl of Mesopotamia. Don't delay any longer this visit, which will change your perspective on the world.

Mount Nemrut

Stop: 2 hours ·Belépőt tartalmazA belépődíjat a túracsomag tartalmazza, felár nélkül.
Mount Nemrut

Visit Nemrut or Nemrud is a 2,134-metre-high mountain in southeastern Turkey, notable for the summit where a number of large statues are erected around what is assumed to be a royal tomb from the 1st century BC. It is one of the highest peaks in the east of the Taurus Mountains. The mountain lies 40 km north of Kahta, near Adıyaman. In 62 BCE, King Antiochus I Theos of Commagene built on the mountain top a tomb-sanctuary flanked by huge statues 8–9-metre high of himself, two lions, two eagles and various Greek, Armenian, and Iranian gods, such as Heracles-Artagnes-Ares, Zeus-Oromasdes, and Apollo-Mithras-Helios-Hermes.These statues were once seated, with names of each god inscribed on them. The heads of the statues at some stage have been removed from their bodies, and they are now scattered throughout the site. Watch a spectacular sunset and then head back to your hotel.
