Humantay Lake is one of Peru's most stunning natural destinations, located at the foot of the snow-capped Salkantay mountain, at an altitude of over 4,200 meters above sea level. This full-day tour from Cusco will take you to explore Andean landscapes, breathe fresh mountain air, and connect with the spiritual energy of the Apus.
The day begins early with pickup from your hotel and a trip to Mollepata, where you will enjoy a hearty breakfast. From there, the journey continues to Soraypampa (3,900 m), the starting point for the approximately 1.5 to 2-hour hike.
Upon arriving at Humantay Lake, you will be amazed by its bright turquoise colors, surrounded by imposing glaciers. You will have free time to contemplate the place, take pictures, and absorb the tranquility of this sacred site. The descent culminates with an Andean buffet lunch before returning to Cusco in the afternoon.
