When you visit Khlong Mon, you'll catch a glimpse of everyday life, much like it must have been many years ago. You'll see elderly monks in faded orange tunics, and people moving slowly, still smiling at you as they clean the fish they cook from there within minutes.
The houses on stilts are wide open to the sun, with flowered balconies, swings on the river, and lots of real life. You'll see lots of wood and little cement, all very characteristic. If you want to see Bangkok with another eye, without horrible buildings and useless skyscrapers, this is your trip.
