The border crossing connects Poipet with Aranyaprathet in Thailand, making it a popular route for travelers heading to and from Thailand. The Poipet-Aranyaprathet border crossing is one of the busiest land border checkpoints between Cambodia and Thailand. It is used by tourists, expatriates, and locals for both travel and trade.
  • Travelers crossing from Thailand to Cambodia can obtain a visa on arrival at Poipet. It’s important to have passport-sized photos and the required fee for the visa process.
  • Ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months from the date of entry and has blank pages for visa stamps.
