Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, also known as the Ubud Monkey Forest, is one of the most famous attractions in Ubud, Bali. It’s a nature reserve and Hindu temple complex that serves as both a sanctuary for hundreds of long-tailed macaque monkeys and a significant cultural site.
The forest spans over 12.5 hectares and is home to around 1,200 to 1,260 monkeys, making it a lively and engaging experience for visitors. The sanctuary also features lush greenery, with a rich variety of tropical plants and towering ancient trees.
Within the forest, there are three Hindu temples dating back to the 14th century, dedicated to different deities, such as Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal, the main temple, which honors the god Shiva.

Tegalalang Rice Terrace
The Tegalalang Rice Terrace is one of Bali’s most iconic and scenic spots, located in the upland region of Ubud. It’s famous for its lush green rice paddies, which are beautifully arranged in a traditional Balinese subak (irrigation system) style across cascading terraces.
The rice fields are carved into the hillsides, creating a layered effect that’s especially stunning in the early morning or late afternoon light, here is one of the most photographed places in Bali—ideal for drone shots, nature photography, or Instagram.

Tegenungan Waterfall
Tegenungan Waterfall is a stunning natural attraction located in Kemenuh Village, approximately 10 kilometers south of Ubud, Bali. Unlike many waterfalls in Bali that are situated in the highlands, Tegenungan is nestled in a lush tropical jungle, offering visitors a refreshing and picturesque experience.
One of the few waterfalls in Bali where swimming is permitted. The pool at the base offers a refreshing dip, though the water may not always be crystal clear due to visitor activity.
The waterfall is a popular spot for photography, especially during the golden hours of early morning and late afternoon.

Tanah Lot Temple

Situated in Beraban Village, approximately 20 kilometers northwest of Ubud, the temple stands atop a rocky outcrop in the Indian Ocean, making it a must-visit for travelers seeking both spiritual and scenic experiences.
The most popular time to visit is during the late afternoon, around 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, to witness the spectacular sunset as the sun dips below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the temple
For a unique experience, plan your visit during low tide, which typically occurs twice daily. During low tide, you can walk closer to the temple’s base and explore the surrounding caves. Conversely, at high tide, the temple appears to float on the ocean, creating a dramatic and picturesque scene
