Once we get to the main atraction, our certified guide will give you a general information about this unique place, The salt mines consist of thousands of small salt pools, which are carved into the mountainside. The pools are filled with saltwater from a nearby natural spring, which evaporates under the sun, leaving behind crystallized salt. The salt is then harvested by hand using traditional methods, and sold in local markets.
The history of the salt mines dates back to pre-Inca times, and the methods used for salt production have remained largely unchanged over the centuries. The salt produced in Maras is known for its high quality and unique flavor, and is used in many traditional Peruvian dishes.
Visitors to the Maras Salt Mines can take a guided tour of the site, learn about the history and methods of salt production, and even participate in the salt harvesting process. The surrounding area is also known for its natural beauty, with stunning views of the mountains and valley.

Moray
Parar: 30 minutes
Moray
Our certifed guide will explain about this unique series of circular terraces that resemble an amphitheater, with concentric rings that gradually decrease in size as they descend into the ground.
The purpose of Moray is still unclear, but it is believed to have been used for agricultural experimentation and research by the Incas. The terraces are built in a way that creates microclimates, with temperature differences of up to 15°C (27°F) between the top and bottom levels. This allowed the Incas to study and cultivate different crops in different conditions, contributing to their knowledge of agriculture.
The site is located in a beautiful natural setting, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Visitors can also explore nearby villages and enjoy traditional Peruvian food and culture.
