The Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place at Big Ben, which is actually the nickname for the clock tower at the north end of the Palace of Westminster. The ceremony is held at the Tower of London, where the Beefeaters, also known as Yeoman Warders, are stationed. The Tower of London is also a popular destination for cruise ships.

  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Most travelers can participate
  • There is no Changing of the Foot Guards on Saturday so you'll be provided with a Walking Tour of Westminster City if you book on a Saturday. You may be able to see the Changing of the Horse Guards at Horse Guards parade but that's not guaranteed.
  • The Changing of the Guard is subject to changes in date, time and cancellation at the discretion of British authorities. Cancellation due to bad weather or other circumstances is not announced before the morning of the ceremony. When this occurs, you will be provided with a walking tour of Westminster city instead. No refund will be provided as this is not under our control.
  • On Sundays, a slightly different version of the ceremony takes place, known as the "Sunday Parade".
  • We regret that we are unable to accommodate guests with wheelchairs or any impairments requiring special assistance. We are also unable to accommodate strollers or baby carriages on our group tours.
  • This service ends at the Tower of London after the Beefeater Audience. You are free to explore as long as you wish the Tower of London at your pace.
  • Please note that photography is not permitted inside the Crown Jewels exhibition.
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 25 travelers
