While there's great art in galleries and public spaces, there's also a vast living conversation happening all over the city, and it's changing every day. This is the street art, and in this 90-minute tour, we'll explore the history and show you how we learned to see and love this art.
Whether you're visiting or new to the city, or have been here for years and have always been curious, we can promise you that once you see the street art, it adds an overlay of thoughtfulness and an explosion of color to your everyday life. .

You can come back and visit the galleries on your own, but the Whitney plays an important role in New York's art history, and in the shadow of it's looming building, we can get a good sense of the difference between having your art hanging inside versus scrawled on the wall of the Gansevoort Meat Center around the corner.
The High Line
We'll walk a section of The High Line, where you can get some compelling views on street art, public art, and architecture.
Chelsea
We'll weave through blocks of Chelsea where the art is both quiet and loud, exploring styles, techniques, and history.
