7:00AM-7:30AM Our local guide will welcome you with a sign (your name) at Phu My port gate (7 to 10 minute walk from the ship) and start your day by going to visit Mekong (My Tho City and Ben Tre Town), the capital city of Tien Giang province, is about 130 km away from Phu My port around 3 hours. Enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields, stopping to see how the rice is cultivated an take pictures of the rice farms in the Mekong River Delta. On arrival at My Tho, take a leisurely boat trip to Tortoise Island. Then disembark and go for a gentle stroll through the picturesque orchards and fruit garden. Ben Tre
Stopp: 2 hours
Return to the water for a relaxing rowing boat ride along a small canal, cruising in the shade of the water coconut trees.
We will continue for Ben Tre province with Tan Phu Village. You will learn about bee-keeping in the delta and sip are freshing cup of honey tea to the accompaniment of traditional Vietnamese folk music. Then travel the narrow rural countryside road by horse cart to visit the coconut candy mill to find out how this delicious confectionery is made and sample the finished product. Return by boat to My Tho boat station and drive back to Saigon.
