Hallgrímskirkja church of Hallgrímur is a Lutheran parish church in Reykjavík. It is 74.5 metres (244 ft) high, and is among the tallest structures in Iceland. Hallgrímskrikja is named after the Icelandic poet and clergyman Hallgrímur Pétursson, one of the most beloved poets from Iceland.

The history of the Blue Lagoon can be traced back to 1976 when a reservoir was formed in Svartsengi from the work of the Geothermal Power Plant Svartsengi. It discovered that the soil had a positive effect on the skin, especially for those suffering from psoriasis. Since then the Blue Lagoon has become one of world´s most famous baths and spas in the world!
