This 2–3 hour guided tour takes you through some of Central London’s finest traditional pubs to explore England’s greatest beer tradition – cask-conditioned real ale.


You’ll visit classic Victorian and Georgian pubs, taste carefully chosen cask beers served the proper way (straight from the handpump at the correct temperature), and gain real insight into how English beer is made, cellared and poured. Your guide will explain the key styles (mild, bitter, porter and modern cask ales), the role of CAMRA, and why cask ale remains unique in the world of beer.


This is not a rushed pub crawl. It’s a relaxed, informative experience designed for people who want to understand and appreciate English beer properly. Small groups, expert local knowledge, and a focus on quality pints in historic surroundings.

This is a central, easy-to-find location with excellent transport links and is just a short walk from several classic traditional pubs.

Your guide will be holding a small “Wonders of Beer” sign (or wearing a name badge).

Look for them just outside Exit 2 of Holborn station on the High Holborn pavement.
