The spiritual journey of Dang Hyang Nirartha, a respected spiritualist traveling in Bali centuries ago, believed to date back to the 16th century, and the one who established a three-temple system in Balinese villages, was closely related to the history of founding Tanah Lot temple. Taman Ayun Temple is located in the village of Mengwi, which means "beautiful garden," established since the days of the empire and precisely constructed in 1634 by the first king of the Kingdom of Mengwi, I Gusti Ngurah Agung Sakti or Tjokorda Blambangan. Taman Ayun Temple serves as a source of irrigation, with water pools connected to the rice fields surrounding the temple. The landscape's beauty, combined with the sacred building Meru, overlaps SOLAS, the building with a fiber roof, whereas the most prestigious Meru has 11 tiers. Meru typifies Sthana, believed to be a sacred place of the gods.
