As we leave Cape Agulhas, we’ll pass through the quaint village of Elim, a charming spot founded in 1824 by German settlers. Elim was the third Moravian mission station established near Cape Town and has managed to retain its old-world charm. The village is characterized by its whitewashed cottages with thatched roofs, which line the quiet streets, creating a picturesque scene. The central church, surrounded by fig trees, is the heart of the village, and everything seems to lead back to it.
