Soesokkak, located in Hahyo-dong, Seogwipo-si, Jeju Island, was originally named Soedun because it was shaped like a cow lying down, but it was named ‘Soesokkak’ because the fresh water and seawater flowing through Hyodoncheon meet to create a deep puddle. It contains the meaning of iron being a cow, a cow being a puddle, and a sharpened end. Soeso is a valley-like valley formed when lava flows and solidifies, creating a terrain as interesting and unique as its name suggests. Soesokkak is one of the hidden scenic spots in Seogwipo Chilsimni, and the deep water, oddly shaped rocks made of lava, and pine forests harmonize to create beautiful scenery.
