Muong Lay – Dien Bien is a picturesque town along the Da River, surrounded by towering mountains. Known for its scenic riverscapes and traditional villages of the Thai and La Ha people, it offers a peaceful escape. Visitors can enjoy boat rides, explore local culture, and experience the serene beauty of Northwest Vietnam.
12:30 - after lunch, we head high into the local mountains of Muong Cha (40km).

At 14:30, we arrive at Pa Phong, where we'll spend the night beside the tranquil Black River, under the impressive suspension bridge. Here, you can dive into the refreshing waters, try stand-up paddleboarding, explore nearby waterfalls, or simply unwind and soak in the breathtaking scenery that surrounds you. As evening falls, join us at 19:00 for a delightful family dinner, followed by an enriching cultural experience in a small Dao community, where you can engage with local traditions and enjoy the warmth of their hospitality.

At 07:00, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the family home before setting out on our journey. By 08:00, we head south, navigating through a prehistoric landscape where the roads may be rough, but the stunning scenery more than compensates for it. After traveling 20 km, we take a moment at 09:00 to refresh ourselves in this enchanting, forgotten world. Then, at 10:00, we embark on a 2-kilometer walk through the impressive Chua La Cave, marveling at its breathtaking rock formations and unique beauty.

At 16:00, we’ll arrive at a private coffee plantation, where you can indulge in tasting exquisite coffee, learn about the intricate processes behind its production, and even try your hand at sorting the beans, immersing yourself in the rich coffee culture of the region.
