The remarkable Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003. This park contains the oldest karst mountains in Asia, which were formed approximately 400 million years ago. The park is riddled with hundreds of cave systems, many of which are of extraordinary scale and length. Additionally, the park features spectacular underground rivers, making it a paradise for speleologists.
