Discover two private game reserves, Botlierskop and Buffelsdrift, each offering a unique take on African wildlife. Enjoy guided 4x4 drives with expert rangers, spotting a variety of animals in their natural habitat. For an extra-special experience, you can add an optional elephant observation experience to witness rescued elephants near the waterhole. After a scenic drive through mountain passes and open plains, you'll overnight in Oudtshoorn, known as the ostrich capital of the world. Led by a professional local guide, this trip is perfect for travelers short on time but eager to experience wildlife, nature, and Karoo charm all in just two days.

- Day 1: Safari at Botlierskop Private Game Reserve (±2 hrs) → Travel to Oudtshoorn → Overnight in your selected stay package (Backpackers, Comfort Guesthouse, Luxury Lodge, or Farmstay).
- Day 2: Morning bush drive at Buffelsdrift (±1.5 hrs) → Optional elephant observation (added cost) → Return to Cape Town via Route 62 (arrival approx. 8–9 PM).
- Itinerary may run in reverse or change slightly depending on availability and conditions.
- Return time on Day 2 depends on traffic and weather—please don’t book a flight for the final day.
- This tour is ideal for adventurous, timelimited travelers who want to experience African wildlife and dramatic landscapes without visiting Kruger.
- Suitable for most travelers with moderate fitness; however, this is a fastpaced trip covering around 900 km over two days (approx. 5–6 hours driving daily).

Botlierskop Tented Lodge
Detener: 3 hours
We’ll travel approximately 450km to Botlierskop Game Reserve in Mosselbay . Once we arrive, you'll enjoy a 3-hour guided game drive in an open-top 4x4 vehicle. Keep an eye out for Africa’s iconic wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. Leopards are elusive and mainly active at night, so sightings during daytime drives are rare, as they’re not kept within fenced areas.

Oudtshoorn
Detener: 60 minutes
After the game drive, we’ll take a short drive to Oudtshoorn, famously known as the ostrich capital of the world. Spend the evening at your leisure, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere beneath the star-filled Klein Karoo sky. If you'd like, your guide can help arrange a restaurant dinner or a traditional South African braai (barbecue), depending on availability. This is a great chance to sample local favourites like ostrich sosaties (kebabs) and potbrood (bread baked over coals). You'll overnight in Oudtshoorn according to your chosen accommodation package.
