The rugged coastline hosts over 21 000 wetland and seabirds of different types. The Serengeti of the seas, named because of its diverse marine life, is also a part of the Cape floral kingdom. The richest floral kingdom in the world! About 2000 different plant species are resident in this area and with over 100 being endemic. While we are here, you will have ample time to explore the coastal plains. You can also visit the Cape Agulhas lighthouse; the second oldest in South Africa. A walk up to the summit of the lighthouse provides one with a bird's eye view of the town and the museum at the bottom.

Whales can be spotted here from the whale trail along the shores between the months of June and November every year. The penguins settled at Stoney Point beach at the of the 20th century. This made Stoney point one of 2 mainland penguin colonies. Guests will have some time to walk along the penguin beach and see the penguins up close.
