This day trip to the Mekong Delta is a refreshing change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City. As you sail down the Mekong River and its tributaries and canals, you'll have the opportunity to experience local culture firsthand. During lunch, you'll get to try a variety of local dishes. And, you'll even have the chance to dress up in traditional Vietnamese garments while sitting in a Mekong boat.

  • 07:30 AM - 08:00 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for My Tho, a bustling town in the Mekong Delta (approx. 1.5 - 2 hours drive).
  • Arrive at My Tho and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, a beautiful Buddhist temple known for its mix of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Khmer architecture.
  • At the cruise's start, you'll enjoy a 40-minute boat trip along the Tien River. You'll glimpse the four legendary islets—Dragon, Turtle, Unicorn, and Phoenix—each with its own story and charm. Along the way, you'll pass by local shipyards, vibrant fish ports, and floating fish farms, giving you an authentic glimpse into the river-based lifestyle of southern Vietnam.   • Take a small rowing boat ride through the narrow water canals lined with nipa palm trees – an iconic experience of the Mekong Delta.
  • Enjoy tropical fruits and listen to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music (Đờn Ca Tài Tử) at a local fruit orchard.
  • Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a riverside restaurant with specialties such as elephant ear fish, fresh spring rolls, and caramelized clay pot fish.
  • Afternoon: Discovering Local Life & Return to Ho Chi Minh City
