I tried it and for those looking for something that tastes like wine, but without the alcohol and kilojoules, I’d recommend giving it a go.

Spier Wine Farm

Spier was voted one of the 100 World's Best Vineyards in 2021, and Editor's Choice - Winery of the Year 2022. Join us for one of our wine tasting and food platters overlooking our dam and with views of the Helderberg mountains. Settle in and admire the iconic Heath Nash chandelier - made from 334 recycled Spier wine bottles and weighing 370kgs - which hangs above the tasting counter. You can enjoy a set wine tasting with or without a food pairing, or order whatever you like with an olive, cheese or cured meat board.

Jordan Wine Estate

Our private picnic pods, on our lawn of Jordan Wine Estate, have breathtaking views of the Stellenbosch Kloof Valley and Stellenbosch Mountains and can accommodate 4-8 adults!
Each basket is filled to the brim with delectable treats from The Cellar Door at Jordan. One picnic basket contains enough for two people
Picnics can be collected from 12:30 on the day of your booking. You’ll have access to your private pod until 16:00.

The House of JC Le Roux is a beautiful wine estate tucked away in the stunning Devon Valley near Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. Dating back to 1983, the House of JC Le Roux has dedicated itself to the art of creating the finest vintage Methode Cap Classiques and sparkling wines, and offers an interior that’s every bit as glamorous as the packaging on their bottles.
JC Le Roux offers something a little different to the wine estates around it. Here, you can enjoy tasting sparkling wine and a variety of exquisite sweet food and wine pairings, cellar tours, and excellent cuisine at the restaurant. Basically, JC Le Roux is heaven for those with a sweet tooth. And don’t worry if you don’t drink as there is a non-alcoholic tasting available for you too!
