The Kecak and Fire Dance is a unique form of Balinese dance and music drama that originated in Bali in the 1930s. What sets Kecak apart is the use of the human voice as the accompanying music, known as the "Gamelan Suara". This is a choir of over a hundred men, seated in concentric circles, swaying, and standing up. The dance tells the story of the Ramayana, where the monkey Hanuman helps Prince Rama fight against the evil King Ravana. .
