Interact with long-tailed macaques in their natural habitat in the peaceful ambience of Bali’s lush forests. The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is home to over 1,200 monkeys. As you walk alongside them, you can also check out all the elaborate temples in the area. While guides are always on watch, keep an eye on your belongings and avoid bringing both food and water bottles along.
The sanctuary is open daily and an entrance fee is required. You might want to combine your visit to the sanctuary with other attractions in Ubud, including the rice terraces and ancient landmarks.

Elephant Cave
Berhenti: 2 hours
The Pura Goa Gajah temple is an interesting old 9th century Hindu cave temple in Ubud, Bali.
Its name means ‘elephant cave’ but no one knows why; it’s not wide enough to fit an elephant inside, and there aren’t any elephants here except for a big contemporary statue near the parking entrance.

Tegenungan Waterfall
Berhenti: 60 minutes
Air Terjun Tegenungan is a beautiful natural waterfall located just a half-hour drive from Ubud. The lush greenery and picturesque falls are a great photo op to commemorate your trip to Bali. When the conditions are good, you can take a dip in the inviting pool at the base. For a bird's eye view of the falls, be sure to check out the viewpoint near the entrance. Also, note that there's a small fee to enter the waterfall.
To make the most of your trip, take a guided tour to explore other waterfalls in Bali. And if you need a break, there are tourist shops and a day club nearby.
