The Humantay Lagoon is a breathtakingly beautiful spot near Cusco. Located in the Salkantay Mountain, the lagoon's turquoise colour is what makes it one of the most visited places in Cusco.
We will arrive after the morning rush and before the afternoon crowds. This means you will have the lagoon almost to yourself, allowing you to fully appreciate its beauty.
You will have more time to spend at the lagoon before the big groups arrive, giving you a chance to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Begin your day at 7:00 am, embarking on a journey through the Peruvian highlands. The 2-hour drive to Mollepata, with its captivating landscapes, offers a moment of tranquility as you pay entrance fees and take a brief respite. Continue to Soraypampa, where the trail to Humantay Lagoon awaits. The 1.5-hour hike, with an optional horseback ride, leads you to the pristine, turquoise waters of the lagoon. Arriving after the morning crowds have departed, you'll find serenity and splendor, embracing the stillness of nature. The descent takes an hour, followed by a 1.5-hour drive to a local restaurant for a delightful lunch. Conclude your adventure with a 2-hour drive back to Cusco, where you'll be comfortably dropped off at your hotel, carrying with you the enchanting memories of Humantay Lagoon.
