Taking this private tour means that you will be able to choose a time, between 5:30 am and 3:30 pm, to receive your guide and depart by bus from Aguas Calientes. After a 20-minute drive to the top of Machu Picchu hill, you'll enter the archaeological site and begin a 2.5-hour tour of the ancient Inca citadel, characterized by its stepped hills, resident llamas, and dramatically jutting mountains.
