Take a day trip to Iceland's South Coast and explore glaciers, waterfalls, a volcano, and a puffin habitat. Travel in a Wi-Fi-equipped Mercedes Benz minibus, which allows you to upload photos to social media with ease. Stop at Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, find views of Sólheimajökull glacier and Eyjafjallajökull volcano, and then look for puffins on a black-sand beach. Your guide will provide information crucial to understanding Iceland's eco-system throughout the tour.

  • Pickup detailsPlease note that Your Day Tours offers pick-up service from authorized pickup points in the Downtown Reykjavik area. We can unfortunately not offer pick-up service from private apartments, Airbnb apartments, hotels located in the suburban areas of Reykjavík or Keflavik Airport for our tours. If your pick-up location is not on our pick-up list then we kindly ask you to locate the closest pick-up point to your accommodation from the map or list below and meet us there for your tour. IMPORTANT: The pickup starts at 8:00 am and usually takes place between 8:00 and 8:30 am. DROP-OFF: You will be dropped off at approximately 18:00 (6:00pm) from your original pick-up location.   • Unfortunately we are unable to transport or store travel luggage or suitcases
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 19 travelers

Solheimajokull Glacier
  • Sólheimajökull is a glacier tongue, an offshoot off of the main body of Mýrdalsjökull glacier.
  • We walk towards Sólheimajökull, through the valley it has carved out of the mountain scape and along the glacier river it forms at its base. The valley is a chaotic collection of rocks, gravel and sand which the tongue ground down as it passed over the land.
  • The glacier is unlike others as it is striped with layers of ash crushed between seasonal layers of ice, but the glacier is surrounded by multiple active volcanic stations.

  • A short photo stop at the photogenic village of Vík. We stop by the town's church where the troll-like basalt stacks and the village provide the perfect background for a selfie.
  • On the way back to the city, hear the stories about all the trolls in the rocks and the elves before you arrive back in Reykjavik at around 6:00 PM.
