The expedition begins at 6:00am when adventurers are picked up and driven through the beautiful Sacred Valley to Abra Malaga. Here Inca Jungle travellers will change into the equipment we provide (gloves, elbow pads, knee pads, helmets) and receive a 20 minute briefing from our guide. Then the fun and adventure begins. We begin by riding on challenging roads through different levels of ecosystems, including cloud forest and ice-covered mountains. After three hours we arrive at Huaman Marca for lunch and then a van will take you to Santa Maria where we begin our exciting journey of rafting down the sacred Vilcanota River for approximately 2 hours, after which we travel to Santa Teresa for dinner and overnight.
