Hi, my name is Sung. I was born and raised in Hầu Thào village in Sa Pa. I'm part of the Hmong ethnic tribe. There used to be 54 ethnic groups in Sa Pa, but now there are only 4 left, Hmong being one of them. I live in Ta Van village, where I help my in-laws with Indigo Snail Boutique Hmong Homestay, which is family-run. Having lived here my whole life, I can share my culture, family, experiences, and knowledge about traditions with you. I'll take you to some of my favorite spots that only locals know about. I've been walking the mountain valleys of this area my whole life and hosting local tours for the past 3 years – join me!

We'll meet at Sapa Church at 930am. We will start trekking and pass through Y Linh Ho, passing scenic trails surrounded by rice fields and mountains, and stop for lunch at a local family restaurant at 12.30pm. After lunch, we continue our trek to Lao Chai village and finally stop in Ta Van.
Enjoy your night at my family's house, where we will enjoy a delicious traditional family dinner together. Over dinner, we can discuss more about local handicraft and Indigo dyeing, which my family does at our cozy home. Read moreMore about Sapa
