To begin the tour, we will take a 1-hour ride to Chuong Village, a 300-year-old village close to Hanoi, renowned for making Vietnam’s iconic nón lá, the traditional conical hat. The villagers of Chuong have mastered the art of crafting these hats from palm leaves, bamboo, and other natural materials across generations. These hats are well-known for their simplicity and practicality, serve as a powerful symbol of Vietnamese culture.
Visiting Chuong Village allows you to witness the entire hat-making process, from the drying of palm leaves to the shaping of bamboo frames.
