Begin with a visit to Melbourne’s colourful Brighton Beach bathing boxes before continuing to Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park. Wander among native Australian animals and enjoy the opportunity to see species including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and more.
From here, travel south to Phillip Island and explore the spectacular coastline around The Nobbies, where boardwalks overlook rugged cliffs, ocean views and wildlife habitat.
As evening approaches, arrive at the Penguin Parade for the highlight of the day. Watch as the world’s smallest penguins emerge from the ocean after sunset and make their way across the beach toward their burrows.

Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park
- Spend time exploring this award-winning wildlife sanctuary and get closer to some of Australia’s most iconic native animals. Look out for kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and other wildlife while learning more about Australian conservation and native species.
- This is also the main lunch stop of the tour, with time available to purchase food before continuing the journey.
Cape Woolamai
Arrive on Phillip Island and stop at Cape Woolamai, known for its beautiful coastal scenery and sweeping views. Enjoy time to take in the landscape and experience one of the island’s most picturesque natural areas. We only visit this stop during summer.
Cowes
- Visit the relaxed seaside township of Cowes, the main town on Phillip Island. Enjoy some free time to enjoy some dinner (on your own expense) explore, stretch your legs and take in the atmosphere before continuing across the island.
- We only visit this stop during summer, in winter you may purchase dinner at the penguin parade.
The Nobbies
Continue to Phillip Island’s dramatic southern coastline at The Nobbies. Walk along the boardwalks and enjoy panoramic ocean views, rugged cliffs and offshore rock formations while keeping an eye out for local wildlife.
Phillip Island Penguin Parade
Finish the day with Phillip Island’s most famous wildlife experience. As the sun sets, watch the little penguins emerge from the ocean and make their way across the beach toward their burrows.
Return to Melbourne
After the Penguin Parade, rejoin your guide for the journey back to Melbourne.
