Piazza del Popolo

One of the most famous squares in Rome, historically the main entrance to the city for those arriving from the north. In the center stands an ancient Egyptian obelisk, brought to Rome by Emperor Augustus. The square is framed by the twin churches, Santa Maria in Montesanto and Santa Maria dei Miracoli, creating a perfect effect of symmetry. From above, the Pincio offers a spectacular panoramic view of the city.

Trevi Fountain

The Trevi Fountain is one of the most famous fountains in the world and a masterpiece of Baroque. Designed DA Nicola Salvi in the 18th century, it depicts the god Ocean on a shell-shaped cart, pulled DA sea horses. According to tradition, throwing a coin into the fountain with his right hand over his left shoulder, ensures his return to Rome. Every day, thousands of visitors participate in this ritual, contributing to the city's charitable works.

Pantheon

Built over 2,000 years ago, the Pantheon is one of the best preserved monuments of ancient Rome. Originally a temple dedicated to all gods, today it is a church. Its most extraordinary element is the large dome, still the largest in the world in unreinforced concrete. In the center, the open oculus lets natural light filter in, creating a suggestive and unique atmosphere.

Piazza Navona

One of the most beautiful and lively squares in Rome, built on the ancient Stadium of Domitian. It is famous for its three fountains, including the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, which represents the four great rivers known in the seventeenth century. Circus DAta with its baroque palaces and cafes, is a perfect place to immerse yourself in the Roman atmosphere.

Piazza Venezia

One of the most important crossroads in Rome, dominated by the imposing Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, also known as the ‘Altar of the Fatherland’, dedicated to the first king of Italy. The square also houses Palazzo Venezia, papal residence and, later, Mussolini's headquarters during the Second World War. A point that connects modern Rome with the heart of the ancient city.

Colosseum

The most iconic monument in Rome and one of the most extraordinary architectural wonders of the ancient world. Built in the first century AD.C., the Colosseum was the largest amphitheater in the Roman Empire, capable of hosting over 50,000 spectators for gladiator fights, animal hunts and public performances. Despite the damage suffered over the centuries, it remains an eternal symbol of the grandeur of Rome.

Ghetto

Colle del Gianicolo

One of the most spectacular viewpoints in Rome, with breathtaking views of the city. The Gianicolo is also a place of great historical value, the scene of the battles led by Giuseppe Garibaldi during the Unification of Italy. A tradition that has lasted since 1847 takes place here: every day at noon a cannon fire marks the exact time for the whole city.
