Namiseom (Nami Island) is a curious place. The island is shaped like a half-moon. The formation was triggered by the building of the Cheongpyeong Dam thanks to the North Han River. The name comes from General Nami. He was the hero who helped Korea win against the rebels in the 13th year of King Sejo – the 7th king of the Joseon Dynasty.
